What is 'Eorzean Adventures'?

Eorzean Adventures or 'EA' as we sometimes call it, is a small closed Alternate Universe RP in which several characters from various different worlds (or rather 'canons') follow the storyline of Final Fantasy XIV. This group ends up becoming the Warriors of Light and well...shit happens.


I'm sorry but you lost me. What do you mean by 'shit happens'?

If you mean storywise, there's a lot. If you're unfamiliar with the XIV story and rather not be spoiled, then I say definitely play it. It's pretty good! Even if it gets batshit at times. However, for EA, it basically means that our cast of characters can be and will be absolutely nuts. Think of it like Azumanga Daioh x5 but add in fire and sharp pointy objects. With fanservice for seasoning. Now if you need an image, this about sums it up.


So what makes this group different?

While most are from different worlds with the exception of one being an Eorzean native, except for two of the group, most of them are from different games on Dreamwidth. Some even being from two games but the majority of the group came from the game 'My Little Jamjar' with one being from the AU-riddled game of Syndiporia. They are already well versed in how there are various worlds out there and some usual mechanics of how jamjars work to various degrees along with other possible versions of themselves or friends or even lovers.

Let's take the example of Yua Narukami, the one from Syndiporia. She happens to be a version of Yu Narukami/Souji Seta, who was the husband to Yukiko Amagi-Narukami from My Little Jamjar. Sometimes its weird but they embrace it.

Most of all, they act just like any other normal team does. They bicker and laugh, cry and hit folks when things don't go their way, and make bathtub fires. It's from this that they forge a bond strong enough to face their enemies and no one says shit about using the power of friendship one too many times considering that most did come from magical pony world where they did in fact weaponize friendship.


So who's the Warrior of Light?

Everyone.


Bullshit! There's only one possible!

In actual XIV canon, yes, there is only one WoL in the storyline. However, this is an AU and it has been shown that there can be more than one WoL; even in early canon they state that there was a GROUP and that the people called them the Warriors of Light.


How do you guys handle Jobs? Isn't most for one only?

Depending on the Job. Paladins have their spots opened up to adventurers and Machinists are a new one and so they welcome a lot of folks. Again, it varies since sometimes we have two Black Mages or a couple of Ninjas or Bards, etc. Basically, it's all timey wimey. Some characters might teach others some stuff, too, as well.


How many Jobs do you guys even have?

I can't speak for the others in it but I can say Nephenee has about 4, possibly 5 combat Jobs, with Dragoon as her main (which makes her that universe's second Azure Dragoon, which is a possibility in-canon). Now do they follow the stories within the questlines?...it all depends. Some learn from others because according to Koji Fox himself, it's possible to learn White Mage from another source but it's not 'sanctioned' or something. Dark Knights have been known for more than one, there are many who study astrology, etc. As long as it doesn't really break the setting, it's fine.


So do you guys roleplay in the game?

Not really. Sometimes when we want to say things ICly in game, we have a linkshell that we can use but a lot of interactions we play on Dreamwidth.


Is there a comm for it?

No comms at this time but maybe in the future.


So, how many are in this group? Is there a Free Company they're in?

Safe to say around 8 to 9 people. As for Free Companies, we're Wanderer's Haven.


Where are you guys located at? I wanna run stuff with you!

We're located on the Adamantoise Server in the Aether Data Center! We may not RP so much in the actual game but someone is usually on!
